Privacy & local data

This page explains how the current tools handle your data. Last updated: 12 October 2026.

What stays in this browser

Favorites, recent topics, drafts, and completed speech reviews use browser storage. They are not synced to an account. Clearing site data removes them; download important work first.

Selected topics and tool settings also use session storage and browser history. Shared page links open the tool, without transferring your private draft or selected question.

Microphone and audio

Recording starts only after you choose it and grant microphone access. Recordings are held in memory for playback or download; leaving or reloading the page can discard them. This site does not upload recordings for transcription or scoring.

Read-aloud uses your browser's speech service. Depending on the voice and browser, that service may process text remotely.

Requests and tracking

With your permission, Google Analytics measures visits and tool actions, and Microsoft Clarity records masked page interactions and clicks for heatmaps. We do not send your drafts, recordings or custom topics.

Analytics is optional. You can change your choice here at any time. Our hosting provider may process IP addresses and request logs. External services have their own privacy policies.
